REGISTRATION FOR JEI ACADEMIC PROGRAMS

1. A registration is deemed complete and students are enrolled with JEI Learning Center once the registration form and all payment information are submitted and approved by administration. In-person & Virtual Classes will not be held until registration is complete.

2. One-time $75.00 registration fee per child is required upon enrollment.

3. $50.00 diagnostic assessment fee per subject is required upon enrollment.

4. The monthly tuition fee covers a 4-weeks program cycle and is collected as per the payment schedule agreement for services to be rendered the following 4 classes. Once the student attends one class session; the monthly tuition fee is non-refundable.

5. A last month payment must be submitted along with your 1st monthly payment. The last month payment act as partial payment for your last registered month at JEI. In order to utilize the last month payment, a written withdrawal notice must be submitted 4 classes prior to your last registered month at JEI. Failure to submit your withdrawal notices as required, the last month payment will be forfeited. A re-submission of the last month payment is required should you terminate your enrollment over 30 days.

6. All tuition payments returned to the office “Non-Sufficient Funds” will carry a $25.00 service charge paid to JEI Learning Center.

7. For refunds based on 40 weeks programs, the refund amount will be based on the number of classes completed using the monthly tuition matrix minus $150 admin charge.

8. All JEI Special Program fees and Early Bird Pricing are non-refundable. (P.A. Day Camp, Winter Camp, March Break Camp, Summer Camp, Summer Classes, Strike Day Camp)

9. Tuition fees and subjects are non-transferable. Each student must be registered individually. **Monthly fees reflect annual fees that have been distributed evenly over the entire (ten) 10-month school year. Monthly program = 4 classes, Monthly 2-Day program = 8 classes, 40 weeks = 40 classes ***Please refer to our JEI Calendar for the weeks of JEI classes.

ATTENDANCE

1. Students are required to attend each class session.

2. JEI Classes that are regularly scheduled on days that fall on a statutory holiday are permitted to have the make-up class completed within the month. These include Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Family Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday and Victoria Day. This condition is not applicable to After School Club, Virtual After School Club, Day Time Learning Club.

3. If the student is absent from class due to illness or other circumstances, it is the responsibility of the student and/or parents to obtain any missed homework or arrangements should be made to reschedule a class in advance. Classes must be rescheduled within the month and cannot carry over to other months. No refund is available for missed classes.

4. JEI must be notified 48 hours prior to a private class being cancelled. Classes that are cancelled with less than 5 hours notice are forfeited.

5. If the student is picked up late (15 minutes or more), there will be an additional $10.00 fee for every 15 minutes

STUDENTS/PARENTS RESPONSIBILITIES

1. It is the responsibility of the parent(s) and/or guardian(s) to provide JEI Learning Center with any additional information that will assist with the child’s learning and success.

2. A $10.00 book deposit fee is required for the Reading & Writing Program.
    

PRIVACY POLICY
I understand that while attending JEI Learning Center, my child will participate in programs and activities offered by JEI Learning Center. I hereby give permission for my child to attend JEI Learning Center and to fully participate in all JEI Learning Center programs and activities.

Contact: JEI Learning Center reserves the right to contact me via email or any online services for any promotional activities or events regarding JEI, its programs or facilities. JEI Learning Center has my explicit permission to send me and my child or children information pertaining to their academia (homework, progress, etc.), scheduling matters, field trips, excursions or special events, through any form of social media (Remind, email, etc.).

Dismissal of Student: JEI Learning Center reserves the right to dismiss, in its sole discretion, any student whose behavior is deemed unsatisfactory or detrimental to the best interests of JEI Learning Center, themselves, other students, and/or staff, in which case no refunds will be made.

JEI Learning Center collects information about your family to provide the best and most appropriate care for your child. Your information (including email address) is retained to enable us to communicate with you if we have new information that may be of interest to you.

JEI Learning Center will not sell or rent your family information to any person of organization. Information is only given to those directly involved in providing a service to your child, or as required by law. All personal information is processed and stored in a secure location with access controls.

MEDICAL WAIVER

I hereby give permission for medical attention to be administered to my child by staff in the event of a medical emergency. When I cannot be contacted, I hereby give my consent to have my child transported to a hospital emergency room and the hospital and medical staff have my authorization to provide any treatment, at my expense, that a physician deems necessary for the well-being of my child.

I hereby waive and release JEI Learning Center and its trustees, officers, teachers, employees, counselors, volunteers, agents from any and all present and future claims, costs, liabilities, expenses, or judgments, including attorney’s fees and court costs, resulting from any damage, loss, personal injury or illness to my child and/or damage to my child’s property arising from or out of my child’s attendance or enrollment in, or out of my child’s participation in activities at or offered by JEI Learning Center.

LIABILITIES
The parent(s) or guardian(s) shall be liable for any and all damages and injuries caused by the student.

ALL TERMS AND CONDITIONS MAY BE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE.

PA DAY / WINTER / MARCH BREAK CAMP / STRIKE DAY CAMP FEE/REFUND POLICY

1. All camp tuition fees are due upon registration and prior to students attending camp. 

2. Late pick-up fee will be charged automatically with a pre-authorized credit card form. $10 will be charged commencing at 3:10PM, 4:10PM, 5:10PM, and 6:05PM if extended hours were not paid for in advance.

3. If the student’s behaviour or attitude is disruptive or harmful to themselves or others they may be asked to leave JEI Camp and the tuition fee is non-refundable.

4. All camp fees are non-refundable, and may be transferrable to another student as per the Director's discretion.

SUMMER CAMP FEE/REFUND POLICY

1. All camp tuition fees are due upon registration and prior to students attending camp. 

2. Late pick-up fee will be charged automatically with a pre-authorized credit card form. $10 will be charged commencing at 3:10PM, 4:10PM, 5:10PM, and 6:05PM if extended hours were not paid for in advance.

3. Early bird pricing & Black Friday promotion fees are non-refundable with no exceptions. Camp weeks are transferrable (only in Summer Camp 2021), cannot be converted into credits for other summer programs / promotions. 

4. A 25% non-refundable administration fee is applied to any and all cancellations before May 31st, 2023, with the exception of medical withdrawal. No refunds will be given after May 31st, 2023. All medical withdrawals require a medical certificate.

5. If the student’s behaviour or attitude is disruptive or harmful to themselves or others they may be asked to leave JEI Camp and the tuition fee is non-refundable.

6. I understand that homesickness; minor illness and change of family plans, dismissal from program and personal schedules conflict/changes are not sufficient grounds for a refund.
